ICHRA, a new way to get Health Insurance
Now you can use your HRA dollars to get Individual Health Coverage
The “IC” in ICHRA (pronounced “ick-rah”) stands for Individual Coverage. So now, you can choose your own healthcare plan and get fully or partially reimbursed from your employer. Ask your employer if they offer an ICHRA option.
We’re here to help! Just call 833-356-1182.
ICHRA gives you coverage and flexibility
With ICHRA, you can choose the right Bright HealthCare plan for you and your family and have access to our exclusive Care Partner network of doctors, clinics and hospitals. You can also update or upgrade your plan as life changes.
How do I qualify for ICHRA?
First, your employer would need to make this type of health coverage available to you. Then, you and your dependents must enroll in individual health insurance. Acceptable coverage includes:
- Individual insurance coverage purchased through or outside of an ACA marketplace
- Student health insurance coverage
- Individual insurance coverage obtained in states that have received a Section 1332 waiver
- Individual catastrophic coverage
- Coverage under Medicare Parts A, B, C or D and Medigap.
